Empty light orbs can be made with level 87 Crafting by blowing molten glass, granting 70 experience. Attaching a cave goblin wire to an empty orb creates a light orb, which gives 104 Crafting experience when the wire and empty light orb are combined. The light orb can be used to repair broken lamps in Dorgesh-Kaan for firemaking and crafting experience.

Empty light orbs cannot be traded. Coupled with the purchase cost or slow rate of collection of cave goblin wire, light orbs are an undesirable crafting training method.
