The Mage Arena bank, also known as the mage bank or wildy bank, is a bank located deep within the Wilderness underneath a crumbling building north of the Mage Arena.
In addition to offering a safe area for banking, the bank room connects to a secondary cave through through the sparkling pool, where players can acquire god capes and staves. Players do not need to complete Mage Arena I to access this area.
There is also a loot chest, which player-killers use to cash in loot keys from players they killed.
Entering the bank
The bank is accessed via a lever, teleporting the player inside. Players who are teleblocked will not be able to enter the bank until the block wears off.
Getting to the lever requires cutting through two webs, which can be cut with a slash weapon or a knife. Players stuck in the area between the two webs with no method of cutting the web may search the sack to obtain a knife. Players without a method to cut the webs may wait for a player to come and cut them, but this is risky and leaves them vulnerable to an attack.
God cape chamber
Entering the sparkling pool will bring players to a cave with three god statues, one for Guthix, Saradomin, and Zamorak. Players can pray to one of the three god statues and obtain a cape affiliated with that god.
After first completion of Mage Arena I, players receive one free god staff from the chamber guardian in the cave, with the staff aligning with the god chosen during the miniquest. The other two must be bought for 80,000 coins each.
Note that despite the "pray-at" option on these statues, they will not restore any prayer points.
Inhabitants
- Kolodion - the leader of the Mage Arena, who the player must face in combat to unlock access.
- Lundail - the owner of Lundail's Arena-side Rune Shop, notable for being the only rune store to sell cosmic and law runes without any quest or skill requirements.
- Gundai - the only banker in the deep Wilderness.
- Chamber guardian - the merchant of god staves.
Trivia
- The Mage Arena bank is one of three places with bank access found in the Wilderness, with the others located inside the Ferox Enclave and Daimon's Crater.
- The bank was the last of the twenty banks added to the game before the release of RuneScape 2.
- The bank is the northern-most bank (area with both bank access and a teller) in RuneScape. The Crater chests are further north, but have no teller.
