The man occupying the small shack near the vinery in Hosidius is just one of Gielinor's many citizens. Unlike most other citizens though, the man can be found in an outhouse, one of the few toilets that exist in Gielinor. The fact that the man is currently using the toilet leads to some rather humorous conversation if the player opts to talk to him.
Using a soaked page on him will result in him telling you "I've seen that one before. It's yours now."
Using a soiled page on him will result in him telling you "That's very kind of you, but no thanks."
The man in the outhouse near the vinery is in fact the same man that irritatedly states to be on the toilet when spoken to through the NPC Contact spell, as one of the persons the player can be connected to when selecting the random option.[1] They indeed share the same chathead when spoken to in either manner, while also sharing some of the same dialogue. As the man on the toilet could be contacted through the lunar spellbook long before players gained access to the western continent, it was only after the mainland was connected to the kingdom of Kourend that the man's true identity – as well as the mystery of the toilet's location – would be revealed.[2]
