Advanced data
NPC ID379

The Quiz Master is part of a random event in which the player is told "It's your lucky day!" and given the option to be teleported to an unknown area to play a game of Odd One Out.

There are four questions, with three rotating items displayed. Each question has two of one item type, and one of another. The correct selection is the one that does not match. Get four successive questions right, and the player is rewarded with either 1000 coins or a mystery box and then teleported back to where they were.

A player participating in Odd One Out.

Trivia

  • This random event is a reference to Mastermind, a longstanding British quiz show with the iconic black chair and spotlight for contestants.[1]
  • The menu options also resemble the answer options from Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?, another quiz show popular in Britain.
  • It is possible that, upon completion of the random event, the player cannot be teleported back to their original location and will instead be teleported to the Lumbridge spawn point with the message, "Whoops, you couldn't be returned to where you came from."
