The Siege of Prifddinas was a result of the elven kingdom expanding into the east. The expansion further spread the elves' forces, allowing Lord Iorwerth, who had pledged himself to the Dark Lord during the eastern kingdom's time of prosperity, to betray the other elven clans and claim Prifddinas as his own.[1]
When Iorwerth broke one of the nine seals of Seren within the Grand Library, he mistakenly believed that a part of Seren herself was trapped within the Temple of Light.[2] He presented his findings to his mother, but because she refused to listen and he was unwilling to abandon Seren, he killed her and took her place as clan leader.[3] Continuing his determination to free the goddess, he and his clan sacked Prifddinas and seized the Tower of Voices.[4][5]
These events led to the Baxtorian campaign.
