The Talkasti were a group of refugees that fled from Xeric during the Age of Strife. Along with the Pericans, they would settle the area that would become known as Varlamore. They were largely nomadic at first,[1] they began settling in the Tlati Rainforest.[2] Thus, the architecture seen in the Tlati Rainforest retains Talkasti influences.[3]

The River Varla was an early boundary between Talkasti and Perican territory.[4]

The Varlamorian religion of Losanium originated with the Talkasti, who worshipped Ralos and Ranul in secret within Kourend, before migrating south in order to practice their religion more freely. Eventually, the Pericans began to practice Losanium as well.[5]

Arkan, the family name of the current dynasty, comes from Talkasti nomads.[6]
