Undead is an attribute assigned to monsters weak to the effects of salve amulet and the Crumble Undead spell. Many monsters with the spectral attribute also classify as undead, with several exceptions, as listed below.
Effects
- The salve amulet will provide the player with a 16.67% boost to Attack and Strength. The imbued version will additionally provide a 16.67% boost to Ranged and a 15% boost to Magic. This does not stack with the Slayer helmet.
- The salve amulet (e) will provide the player with a 20% boost to Attack and Strength. The imbued version will additionally provide a 20% boost to Ranged and Magic. This does not stack with the Slayer helmet.
- The Crumble Undead spell may only be used against monsters with the undead attribute. Requiring level 39 Magic, it has a max hit of 15 and costs 1 chaos rune, 2 air runes, and 2 earth runes to cast.

Excluded monsters
Despite appearing to be ghosts, the Barrows brothers and other wights variants do not have the undead attribute. Several other exceptions include the Phantom Muspah, Ba-Ba, quest bosses such as Nazastarool and Treus Dayth, skeletal wyverns, barbarian spirits in the Ancient Cavern, ghasts, spiritual creatures, reanimated creatures from ensouled heads[1] and several other spectral monsters.
