Monster attributes are characteristics of monsters that cause certain strengths, vulnerabilities, or effects in combat.

Attributes that cause vulnerabilities does not necessarily mean that the damage boosting weapons will be the best weapon to use. Players should consider the monsters defensive stats as well as their own stats and equipment to determine the best combat style to use.

Note: Damage-boosting gear may not always be the best to use against certain monsters. An example of this would be a player with level 70 Attack and 70 Strength equipped with only a weapon against a Loar Shade. Equipped with Gadderhammer using the aggressive style, the damage per second is approximately 2.42 (including 5% chance of double damage and 25% increased damage). Equipped with an Abyssal whip using the accurate style, the damage per second is approximately 3.39, which is 40% greater.

  • Keris, Keris partisan, and Keris partisan of breaching deal 33% more damage and have a 1/51 chance to deal triple damage.
  • Keris partisan of breaching adds a 33% accuracy bonus in addition to the above.
Leafy Kurask, turoth, King Kurask Leaf-bladed weapons
  • Immune to all types of damage except leaf-bladed weapons.
Penance Penance Fighter, Penance Ranger Barbarian Assault attacker role
  • The base damage of the player is increased by their Attacker level.
Rat Scurrius Rat bone weapons
  • Vulnerable to ratbane weapons, which add 10 damage to the player's maximum hit.
Shade Loar Shade, Fiyr Shade, Riyl Shade Gadderhammer
  • Gadderhammer deals 25% more damage and has a 1/20 chance to deal double damage.
Spectral Ghosts, Spiritual creatures, Barrows brothers
Undead Aberrant spectre, Banshee, Revenants, Skeleton, Zombie Salve amulet
  • Salve amulet grants combat skill boosts.
  • Crumble Undead spell only works against these monsters.
Vampyre Count Draynor, Vyrewatch, Vampyre Juvinate Rod of ivandis, Ivandis flail, Blisterwood sickle, Blisterwood flail
  • Different effects per vampyre "tier", see Vampyre (attribute) page.
    • Tier 1 - May be harmed by any weapon.
    • Tier 2 - Immune to all weapons except Silver weaponry.
      • Efaritay's aid can be used to harm tier 2 vampyres with non-silver weaponry.
    • Tier 3 - Only 3 weapons work on tier 3 vampyres.
      • Ivandis flail has 20% increased damage.
      • Blisterwood sickle has 15% increased damage and 5% increased accuracy.
      • Blisterwood flail has 25% increased damage and 5% increased accuracy.

  • Twisted bow's damage modifier caps at 350 Magic instead of 250 when attacking these monsters.
