Fire pit

Not to be confused with Firepit.

Fire pits are rebuilt old fire pits in which special permanent fires are lit using a combination of salts. All fires require 66 Firemaking, but the required Construction level varies. These fires grant the player certain conveniences, such as serving as an inextinguishable light source, removing the need for a player to bring one themselves.

Fire pits can only be built and lit after the completion of the quest Making Friends with My Arm. Players cannot cook on these fire pits.

Creation

There are six fire pits which may be constructed upon old fire pits and lit. A hammer, saw, and tinderbox are required to build the fire pits. A crystal saw may be used. The old fire pit in the Falador Mole Lair also requires a spade and light source to reach.

Variants

Fire of Eternal Light

Main article: Fire of Eternal Light

These fires require 35 Construction and act as an inextinguishable light source in various locations. The fires are located at three different locations: Falador Mole Lair, Lumbridge Swamp Caves, and Mos Le'Harmless Cave. In the Lumbridge Swamp Caves, it also removes swamp gas so that any light source is safe.

You will need 2 steel bars, 2 mahogany planks, 300 te salt, 100 efh salt, and 50 urt salt, along with a tinderbox, saw, and hammer to build each of the three.

Fire of Nourishment

This fire requires 35 Construction and allows the Weiss herb patch to be used.

You will need 2 steel bars, 2 mahogany planks, 50 te salt, 100 efh salt, and 150 urt salt, along with a tinderbox, saw, and hammer to build this.

Fire of Dehumidification

Main article: Fire of Dehumidification

This fire requires 50 Construction and the completion of Nature Spirit, and prevents the swamp decay effect of the Mort Myre Swamp as well as preventing ghasts from rotting food in that area.

You will need 2 steel bars, 2 mahogany planks, 50 te salt, 300 efh salt, and 100 urt salt, along with a tinderbox, saw, and hammer to build this.

Fire of Unseasonal Warmth

Main article: Fire of Unseasonal Warmth

This fire requires 60 Construction and prevents the stat-draining effect of the area near God Wars Dungeon.

You will need 2 steel bars, 2 mahogany planks, 100 te salt, 50 efh salt, and 300 urt salt, along with a tinderbox, saw, and hammer to build this.

Fire of Domination

This fire cannot be built but was the fire in Mother's arena during the Making Friends with My Arm quest.
