Mother (full name Mother's Left One) is the leader of the town of Weiss, and the father of Snowflake.

History

Mother was the leader of a group of special ice trolls that used to live near Keldagrim until they were driven out by the Black Guard and a then-young Dionysius. Mother and his tribe were forced into the barren lands up north where they only managed to survive through his sheer determination, thus making him value strength above all else. The tribe flourished and at some point, he had a daughter named Snowflake.

Mother and his tribe would remain isolated from the other tribes, presumably even their own ice troll kin due to the difficulty of reaching their lands. His advisor, Odd Mushroom, began to make inventions to improve their quality of life, but Mother berated him for their uselessness. After Odd Mushroom made the Fire of Domination, Mother was pleased with the results. Sometime afterwards, he would learn of the mountain trolls and sent an ambassador, Wolfbone, to make contact with them and see if they had anything worth trading.

The mountain trolls sent My Arm to teach Mother's tribe how to grow goutweed, but Mother showed no interest in this. As My Arm could not navigate the mountains, the adventurer that the trolls had been acquainted with was also sent, but Mother's tribe was unaware of this and attempted to drive the human out until they saw that they had brought a troll along. However, Mother was not interested in farming. He also intended to have Snowflake marry Don't Know What, his strongest sentry, but Snowflake secretly opposed the marriage and fell in love with My Arm on first sight. With the help of Dionysius, the adventurer tried to fool Mother into thinking that My Arm had killed their greatest foe, but Dionysius unintentionally exposed the plot. Enraged at the betrayal, he fatally wounded his advisor and imprisoned the others to make an example of them, but the adventurer eventually slew him in battle.

With his death, Snowflake declared herself the new leader of the Weiss trolls, with no one even bothering to support their former leader as they all agreed that Snowflake was much nicer than him.

Mechanics

During the fight against Mother, he has the Fire of Domination lit up, which makes him massively powerful and immune to any damage. In order to hurt Mother, players must take a bucket and use it on the large barrel of water to extinguish the Fire. Once he has switched to Protect From Magic, you have successfully put out the fire.

It is NOT recommended to use magic or melee as Mother has very high magic defence and his melee attack will drain your prayer and stun you.

Mother uses the same attacks as Don't Know What by launching boulders towards the player which can hit through protection prayers, but also uses a melee attack that drains prayer. By attacking with ranged and praying Protect From Missiles, players can run away from him around the arena to avoid his melee attack.

Trivia

• My Arm coughs when discussing Mother's full name, implying that the first thing he tried to eat was his mother's left breast.
