Walkthrough
Pre-quest set-up
- Set the Grouping menu to teleport to Giants' Foundry.
Speedrun
- Talk to Chancellor Hassan
- Talk to Osman. Finish listening to him or Lady Keli will not talk to you. You do not need to pick any dialogue options afterwards.
- Go to Ali Morrisane's shop and buy:
- 2 buckets
- 1 bronze pickaxe
- 1 pot
- 1 tinderbox
- Run northwards to the south-east Varrock mine and mine one copper ore. Keep west of the unicorns and bears for a shortcut.
- (Optional) Tuna can be eaten as a form of tick manipulation to mine quicker. This is not required for a platinum time.
- Pick one bunch of redberries from the redberry bush north-west.
- Run to the south-west Varrock mine and mine one tin ore and clay. You may pass north of the circle with dark wizards for a faster route.
- Purchase a pink skirt from Thessalia's Fine Clothes.
- Purchase shears from the Varrock general store.
- Use Lumbridge Home Teleport and fill the two buckets with water from the nearby fountain.
- Use one bucket of water on the clay while running to the next objective.
- Purchase three beers from the bartender in The Sheared Ram.
- Talk to the woodsman tutor nearby, icon on the minimap to get a bronze axe.
- Use copper ore or tin ore on the furnace further north to smelt a bronze bar.
- Run westwards and shear three sheep for wool.
- Exit the sheep enclosure the same way you came in and pick two onions from behind Fred the Farmers house. Pay attention in case you get an onion seed instead!
- Head north to the Mill Lane Mill and pick some grain outside. Climb up to the top floor of the mill and use the grain with the hopper, then pull the lever. Climb down and take the flour from the flour bin with the pot.
- Head to the jail and talk to Lady Keli.
- Run eastwards to Lumbridge Castle courtyard.
- Chop a log on the way there. Light a fire in the courtyard.
- Run back to Osman and talk to him until you give him the key imprint.
- Run back to Lumbridge Castle.
- Pick up the ashes.
- Climb up the stairs once and use the spinning wheel in the southern room to make three balls of wool.
- Run to Ned in Draynor Village.
- Talk to Ned.
- Buy a rope from Ned.
- Talk to Aggie.
- Right-click Use the onion on her to get the yellow dye.
- Use the yellow dye on the wig while running to the next objective.
- Talk to Leela to get the bronze key.
- Use a beer on Joe until all three disappear from your inventory.
- Use the rope on Lady Keli.
- Open the prison gate and talk to Prince Ali.
- Minigame teleport to Giants' Foundry.
- Return to Chancellor Hassan to complete the quest.

Optimizations
Mining
Clicking to mine with a bronze pickaxe will start an 8 tick timer, at the end of which your character will have a chance to mine a rock. This is the same skilling timer as most other skilling and combat options, so with some clever routing we can reduce our wait quite a bit. We will start our skilling timer on some other action, then arrive at a rock when the skilling timer is about to end.
To do this, we will click on this tree without an axe. This sets our skilling timer to 3. We then run for 4 ticks to the tin rock. If we eat a tuna on the way, we can add a 3 tick delay to our skilling timer and arrive at the rock at the right time. One the tin ore is mined, we can eat another tuna and immediately click the clay rock. This adds 3 to our skilling timer and takes 1 tick to move there, which works perfectly.
Alts
Alts can help with mining similarly to above. If we lure a unicorn, we can punch it at a good time on the way to the copper rock, saving 7 ticks.
There are a lot of NPCs in this quest with decently large wander ranges. Here is the order of preference you would want to use an alt to hold them to save the most time on average:
- Unicorn
- Thesselia
- Aggie
- Ned
- Chancellor Hassan
- Joe + Keli (same alt can hold both, though need to be careful and retalk during minigame tele)
- Shop keeper
- Mugger
- Osman
- Leela
- Prince Ali
Deathwarping
With very good luck, you can die to the guards while picking nettles at the end to save a little bit of time. On average, this method is a bit slower than the Giants' Foundry teleport, but with the best hit RNG it will save time. Note that you do not need 10gp to get through the gate after you have saved Prince Ali.
Dying faster means getting back to Lumbridge faster. When picking nettles, you want to make sure both guards are able to hit you. By picking the north nettle, then switching to the nettle one south, then back to the north one, you can make sure the guards aren't stacked on each other.
