Walkthrough

Preparing for knighthood

The number combination puzzle in progress. Green indicates the pin is at the correct height, and blue indicates that height should be used for a different pin.

Speak to Kit Breaker just north of Falador. Kit explains that they have a lifelong dream of joining the White Knights of Falador, but states that they do not have a beard or any armour.

After agreeing to help them, start by visiting the Hairdresser north of the west Falador bank to set up an appointment for Kit to receive a beard. After returning to Kit, they will visit the hairdresser and return without a beard, but rather a new hair cut.

Next, the player must help Kit unlock two chests that they brought from home. Firstly, the heavy chest has a number combination puzzle in which players have 8 attempts to correctly guess. This solution to this puzzle is different for every player on every attempt. On opening the chest, Kit will find his father's steel armour and a letter from his mother.

Secondly, the scuffed chest puzzle is a word combination lock with a solution of "PRIDE", denoted by letters colored blue in the letter from Kit's mother. After opening this chest, Kit will find his father's steel sword and kiteshield inside.

After helping Kit refresh their appearance and obtain their armour, meet them at the Squire in the White Knights' Castle courtyard. Kit will talk to the Squire to learn how to become a White Knight. After learning that it takes five years of squiring before one can begin to become a White Knight, Kit wants to learn ways they could speed up the process. Meet Kit at Sir Amik Varze where he will inform Kit that it takes a heroic act to become an honorary White Knight. After admitting that they have not done anything of the sorts, Kit will leave and return north of Falador.

Protector of the Glade

Gilbert knighting Kit Breaker.

The player must help Kit regain their motivation. In order to do that, continue to select the motivating statements until the motivation bar reaches 100. The player will suggest that Kit find their true self and suggest meeting Gilbert for doing so.

When meeting Gilbert, he suggests that Kit becomes a protector of the Glade. Gilbert asks the player to collect one of each of the surrounding flowers so that Kit can obtain a rainbow cape. After doing so, Gilbert will knight Kit as "Sir Kit Breaker".

Joining the White Knights

After Kit finds their calling as the protector of the Glade, the player should join Kit and return to Sir Amik Varze to report their heroic actions. Upon doing so, Sir Amik Varze admits Kit as a White Knight and gives them initiate armour.

Return to Gilbert to complete the event and receive the rewards.

Trivia

  • The Glade project Gilbert mentions is likely a reference to GLAAD, a non-profit organisation that advocates for the LGBT community and its positive representation.
  • If the player has completed Wanted!, Sir Amik will use the player's successful capture of Solus Dellagar as an example of a heroic deed worthy of skipping straight to the rank of Initiate White Knight.
