A player wearing initiate armour.

Initiate armour is white-plate, gold-trimmed plate armour that can be purchased from Sir Tiffy Cashien in Falador Park after completing Recruitment Drive, requiring 20 Defence and 10 Prayer to equip. The items have a small Prayer bonus equivalent to monk's robes and other bonuses equivalent to mithril armour. The hauberk and cuisse are commonly used on Slayer tasks when using Prayer to slow the drain on Prayer points, saving on Prayer potions.

A full set can be bought from Sir Tiffy Cashien for 20,000 coins, while the individual pieces can be purchased for a total of 24,000 coins: 6,000 for an initiate sallet, 8,000 for an initiate cuisse, and 10,000 for an initiate hauberk. Although Recruitment Drive rewards an initiate sallet, buying the full set is still cheaper, as the second sallet can be high alched for 3,600 effectively making this route cost 1,600 less coins than buying the hauberk and cuisse individually. Alternatively, purchasing the full set from the Grand Exchange costs 22,160 while the separate pieces total 15,207.

A full set of initiate must be worn while praying at Altar of Guthix in Taverley for a medium Falador Diary task.

As with all black and white equipment, the Initiate armour cannot be made from raw materials using the Smithing skill.

All pieces from this set can be stored in an armour case in a costume room in a player's house.
