The Virtus robe top is a part of the Virtus robes set that is worn in the body slot, requiring level 78 in Magic and 75 Defence to equip. It can be obtained as a rare drop from The Leviathan, The Whisperer, Vardorvis, and Duke Sucellus.

Each piece of Virtus robes gives a 2% magic damage bonus for a total of 6%. When using combat spells from Ancient Magicks, the magic damage bonus is increased to 5% for each piece for a total of 15%.

This item can be stored in the magic wardrobe of a costume room, as part of the Virtus robes set. Ultimate Ironmen will be unable to retrieve individual pieces until the full set is stored.

Historical

Virtus robes was one of the original rewards from Nex upon its release in RuneScape. Compared to Old School RuneScape's version of the Virtus robe top, the original had several differences:

Having the robes equipped made all factions in the God Wars Dungeon unaggressive, rather than just Zarosian NPCs.
The robes did not have a magic damage bonus for Ancient Magicks spells, nor did it have a passive effect.
The robes required level 80 Hitpoints in addition to Magic and Defence.
The robe top boosted Hitpoints by 200 life points, equal to 20 Hitpoints.
The robes degraded, lasting for 15 hours of combat. When fully degraded, the base repair costs for the robe top was 2,000,000 coins.
