The Custodia Mountains are a mountain range that separates Varlamore from Great Kourend. It was previously unexplored until refugees escaping from Xeric during the Age of Strife crossed through. Among these mountains is Ralos' Rise where a monastery known as the Teomat can be found.

Trivia

  • Given how strongly Varlamore is influenced by Mesoamerican and South American civilizations, it is likely that the Custodia Mountains are partially inspired by the real world Andes Mountains.
  • "Custodia" is a Latin word that means "guardian" or "safekeeping". As such, the name carries a deeper meaning given the mountains' role in the refugees' escape.
