The Twilight Temple is a temple compound in Varlamore. It was initially a temple dedicated to Ranul built under the reign of Emperor Imafore, which was considered blasphemous and thus was abandoned for many years until the Twilight Emissaries began using it as their base of operations.[1]
The temple is the main setting in The Heart of Darkness. The player and Prince Itzla explore the temple buildings and underground whilst infiltrating the Twilight Emissaries to investigate them. The player must be wearing all pieces of the Emissary robes to enter the temple during and after the quest. The robes can be reobtained from a chest on the ground floor of the Tower of Ascension. Whilst inside the temple, players who attempt to remove any part of the robes will receive the message, You should leave your robes on while you're in the temple.
