Ale yeast is the final essential ingredient added to the fermenting vat to begin the fermenting process for brewing ales and cider which lasts between 21 and 32 hours or 135 hours if the stuff is added.

It can be purchased from any of the three brewery workers, Blandebir on the 1^st floor^[UK]2^nd floor^[US] of the Laughing Miner Pub in eastern Keldagrim for 25 coins, Lucrezia in the Moonrise Brewery and Winery for 25 coins, or Metarialus underneath the The Green Ghost pub in Port Phasmatys, for 5 ecto-tokens. Players must have an empty pot to put the yeast in and can either talk to the brewery workers or use the pot on them.

In Keldagrim, a pot spawn can be found near the vat. In Port Phasmatys, empty pots can be purchased from the Port Phasmatys General Store.
