Death's Office, also known as Death's Domain, is a small office in which Death resides. The entrance to Death's Office can be found near any major respawn point, indicated by a tombstone icon on the minimap:
- Lumbridge - graveyard by the church
- Falador - White Knights' Castle Crypt
- Seers' Village - graveyard by the church
- Edgeville - mausoleum
- Ferox Enclave
- Kourend Castle
- Prifddinas - Hefin district, north of the bank (directly north of the central tower).
- Civitas illa Fortis - west of the Sunrise Palace
In Death's office, players can collect items that they did not collect from their grave within 15 minutes of dying. Items worth less than 100,000 are free to reclaim, but items worth more come with a 5% reclamation fee. As with graves, ironmen (with the exception of ultimate ironmen) are given a 50% discount, giving them a 2.5% reclamation fee. Note that it is substantially cheaper to reclaim items from a grave, which uses a tiered system depending on the item's value. Items may be collected at Death's office before the 15 minute time has run out, although the cost is still higher than reclaiming items from a grave.
Players may deposit unwanted items into the Death's coffer for 105% of the item's Grand Exchange price (item has to be worth more than 10,000 coins to be acceptable), which will be used to pay for item reclamation fees as well as area instances. Items offered here cannot be withdrawn and the value cannot be used for any other purpose.
Beware that no more than 120 items or item stacks can be held in Death's Office Item Retrieval at any given time, causing items from an expired gravestone to be deleted when the limit is reached.
Death can be talked to in order to cosmetically enhance the player's gravestone to a statue of an angel, costing 200,000.
Trivia
- Mithril seeds cannot be used in Death's Office. Attempting to do so results in the message You can't plant your flowers here. appearing in chat. Previously it said Pretty flowers won't cheer this place up. instead.
- Viewing "Items Kept on Death" whilst in the Death's Office will show an additional message about the office being a safe area (despite its' appearances) and Death considering dying there silly.
- The Siren's tome, an item which passed a poll but was scrapped afterward, can be seen behind Death's desk.
