The dusty scroll is an item that players might uncover whilst doing the In Aid of the Myreque quest. It is a letter from Sialathin to his girlfriend Lantania, promising her that they will escape over the River Salve. Once destroyed, it can be reobtained from the rubble pile behind the inn in Burgh de Rott.

This item actually has no bearing on the quest and is considered to be a useless item.

Transcript

The following text is transcluded from Transcript:Dusty scroll (In Aid of the Myreque).

My dearest Lantania,

I know not what these dark hours bring but I will come for thee as soon as I am able. I care no longer for the possessions which tie me to this wasted land and the living which I earned from it.

Prepare to leave soon for I shall be there with haste. With Saradomin's blessings we shall make our way out of Hallowvale and head westwards over the Salve.

I pray that Saradomin supports Queen Efaritay in her hour of need so that she can somehow fight these beasts back to the dead place from where they came.

I cry at the plight of poor Ascertes and offer up a prayer for their children in these darkest of hours.

Make ready and bring only what you need. We shall need good fortune and speed in this, our last chance at a life together.

Yours, most faithfully,

Sialathin
