The libation bowl is located at the Teomat, it can be found inside the northern building. Starting at level 30 Prayer, it is used for training Prayer by filling the bowl with jugs of blessed wine, which lets the player sacrifice blessed bone shards as an offering for 5 Prayer experience per shard (6 if the bowl is filled with jugs of blessed sunfire wine). Additionally, each offering requires two prayer points; players can recharge their prayer at the Shrine of Ralos in the southern building.
One jug of blessed wine fills the libation bowl enough for 400 blessed bone shards to be sacrificed.
The player can check how many remaining charges the libation bowl has by right-clicking the "Check" option. As jugs of blessed wine cannot be banked, it is recommended that players only bring and bless as many wines at the exposed altar in proportion to the amount of shards they have.
Up to 100 blessed bone shards can be sacrificed per action, for a total of 500 experience with blessed wine (or 600 with blessed sunfire wine). The zealot's robes do have a chance to save sacrificed blessed bone shards, and can trigger for each individual shard instead of each sacrifice of 100. They will not save "charges" of the filled Libation bowl.
During the bone sacrificing, if the player has additional jugs of blessed (sunfire) wine in their inventory, the jugs will automatically be used to recharge the bowl. With a full inventory of 27 jugs of blessed sunfire wine, players can sacrifice up to 10,800 bone shards per inventory, awarding 64,800 prayer experience.
Repeatedly sacrificing shards with full inventories of 27 jugs of blessed sunfire wine can result in xp rates of over 1.3 million xp per hour, not including the time spent adding Sunfire splinters to jugs of wine. This can be achieved using the transport methods detailed in the following section.
Getting There
The Quetzal Transport System is by far the fastest method of reaching the libation pool. There are a number of ways players can quickly reach quetzals in the system, including the Civitas illa Fortis Teleport, Rings of dueling, the Hunter cape, the Quetzal flight from just outside the east gate of Varrock and, of course, quetzal whistles. Using a charged pendant of ates to Ralos' Rise is also a fast way to get to the pool.
For extended prayer training sessions, players will need to visit a bank or shop to acquire more wine after each trip to the libation bowl. It is also recommended that players restore their run energy after each trip. One method that does not take up an inventory slot involves the use of worn Rings of dueling to teleport to Fortis Colosseum where there is both a bank and a quetzal nearby for fast transport back to the Teomat. This does require Hero status in the Colosseum, but rings of dueling can also take players to Ferox Enclave to restore their run energy. Alternative methods of restoring run energy that can also be worn by the player include the Construction cape (provided players have a Revitalisation pool in their home), or a Desert amulet 4 to teleport to the Elidinis Statuette in Nardah.
Without Hero status in the Colosseum, players could use a Hunter cape to use the bank in the Hunters guild and the quetzal nearby. Another free option is to take Renu to Civitas illa Fortis, and Primio from there to Varrock, then run to the east bank. Otherwise, players will need to use an inventory slot for runes or a rune pouch to teleport, and/or a quetzal whistle to quickly return to the Teomat.
