The profit rate assumes kills per hour. Your actual profits may be higher or lower depending on your speed and luck. The rates listed assumed max melee with a Scythe of vitur. A Twisted bow, Arclight, or Abyssal bludgeon setup can expect closer to 40 kills per hour.

Cerberus can only be killed on a Slayer task.

Cerberus is the only monster to drop Primordial crystals, Pegasian crystals, and Eternal crystals. These are required to make the three best-in-slot Melee, Ranged, and Magic items: Primordial boots, Pegasian boots, and Eternal boots. These rare (1/512 chance) yet valuable crystals (Primordial crystals are worth 24,035,724) make the average Cerberus kill worth 83,232.00. However, while average profit per hour may be high, actual profit per hour at Cerberus depends greatly on whether unique drops are received. Players may experience dry streaks of 10-20 hours without receiving a valuable crystal. If the player does not receive unique crystals, the average kill is worth only 22,578.00 and the baseline profit is much lower at about 299,212.00 per hour. For this reason, players seeking consistent profit often prefer to kill other bosses such as Zulrah.

The main supply expenses at the boss primarily come from prayer potions. Apart from a relatively high drain rate, Cerberus has a special mechanic where she calls for three Summoned Souls. These souls represent the combat triangle and will attack once, dealing up to 30 damage if their attack is not protected against. If their attack is protected against, this will instead drain 30 prayer points, totaling for a drain of 90 prayer points. This is reduced to 15 if the attack is protected against while wearing a spectral spirit shield. If the hit drains more than the player's current prayer, it will not cause any additional effects. This means to properly fend off a ghost attack, the player must have at least 65 prayer without a shield and 35 with. Players without a scythe of vitur will likely have to face this attack twice per kill (even with best-in-slot armour), whereas those who do will either face it once per kill or none at all, if the scythe hits hard enough.

Cerberus can only be killed while on a Slayer task. The best Slayer master to get Cerberus tasks from is Duradel who assigns tasks of 130-200 Hellhounds. Players wishing to extend the task may use bracelets of slaughter, preferably by switching to it at the end of each kill to get the benefit from other gloves for most of the kill.
