Oak trees are a type of scenery found on Tutorial Island that are distinct from regular oak trees. The appearance of these oak trees is slightly darker than the oak trees found on the mainland.
Because skills can only be trained to level 3 while on Tutorial Island and chopping oaks has a Woodcutting requirement of 15, the oak trees found on the island are impossible to cut. Attempting to do so will print the message: You won't be able to chop oak trees until you have a Woodcutting level of 15. You'll advance to higher Woodcutting levels by chopping down normal trees. At higher Woodcutting levels you will find even more trees you can cut.
