The obsidian decorative bench can be built in the seating space of the superior garden in a player-owned house. It requires 98 Construction to build and when built, it gives 2,331 experience. The player must have a hammer and a saw in their inventory to build it.

Unlike the teak garden bench and gnome bench, this bench cannot be sat on due to rendering issues. Attempting to do so results in the chatbox stating It looks like you'd get a sore back if you sat on that bench. The marble decorative bench suffers from the same issue.
