A guard is wandering the woods near princess Miazrqa's tower, on the raised plateau east of Doric's hut. He resembles one of the battleaxe-wielding guards of Falador, but has a slightly lower combat level, and can be spoken to. Other than that, he acts like a regular guard, sharing the same drops and being pickpocketable at level 40 Thieving for the same 30 coins and 46.8 Thieving experience.

In conversation with the guard, it is revealed that he was sent to these outskirts in order to surveil a band of brigands just south of where he's standing.^[1] Indeed, a small group of shady characters consisting of Narf, Jeff, Rusty, and Cuffs can be encountered there, who seem to be quite aware of the guard's keen eye.^[2]
