A player faces the Chaos Fanatic.

The chaos fanatic is a relatively simple boss, but his special attack has the potential to cause major damage if not avoided.

Due to his high magic level and defensive bonuses, the most effective way is to use Ranged while protecting from magic and avoiding his green special attack by moving away from where you are standing.

Players can optionally walk to the altar that lies to the south-west in order to recharge their prayer after each fight, although this is a highly active player killing spot. Player killers can only attack you in-between kills while waiting for the boss to respawn, so always be aware of players nearby who may be waiting for you to finish your kill.

In order to escape from player killers, a good option is to make use of the Wilderness obelisk to the north to teleport to level 13 Wilderness (possible to guarantee after completion of the hard Wilderness Diary) which will then allow the player to teleport away using a standard teleport method. Players can also run east into the King Black Dragon Lair (non-Wilderness) and teleport from there.

Suggested skills

Equipment

Activate Protect from Magic, and be prepared to use Protect Item if 4-iteming. Similar to the chaos elemental, he can unequip your items.

It is recommended to use space blocking food as he cannot disarm you if there are no slots in your inventory for your weapons.

If you are using potions, it is advised to make sure that vial smashing is turned off. This option can be turned off in the settings menu under the gameplay section.

Note that Ava's devices can be lost on death in Wilderness above level 20, so the assembler should only be brought if it is a protected item or can be replaced easily.

  2. ^ 2.0 2.1 Will be lost above 30 wilderness without a Trouver parchment

Inventory

  • 2 divine ranging potion.
  • 4–6 blighted super restores.
  • Looting bag (recommended).
  • Ghorrock teleport (at least 2 as otherwise you will be left with an empty inventory space after you use the first one, and the boss would unequip your gear), runes for casting, or burning amulet (optional, as you can get to the boss via the Wilderness obelisk to the north).
  • An emergency teleport (optional—only works in level 30 Wilderness).
  • Summer pies or Wild pies are the best food to bring here, as they heal 22 per slot and leave the pie dish in the inventory, to counter the disarming ability of the chaos fanatic. Alternatively, Curry heals less (19 Hitpoints) but heals in one bite, whereas the pies are eaten in two bites healing 11 per bite.
