Summer pie is a type of pie with two bites that restores 11 Hitpoints, 10% run energy, and grants a +5 temporary skill boost to Agility per bite. A pie dish will remain after consumption. It can be obtained by baking a raw summer pie on a cooking range, requiring level 95 Cooking and granting 260 experience when successful. When cooking there is a chance to fail, resulting in burnt pie. The burn rate decreases as the player's Cooking level increases. Summer pies never stop burning altogether even at level 99, unless the player is wearing a Cooking cape. Alternatively, casting the Bake Pie spell from the lunar spellbook will always create a pie without burning it.
Summer pies are a type of 1 tick (0.6 seconds) fast food, meaning you can eat them in succession with less delay than standard food which adds a 3-tick (1.8 second) penalty.
The +5 Agility boost makes summer pies a great food for use in Agility training, increasing the chance to pass obstacles while restoring Hitpoints lost from failing any. It may also be used to pass Agility level requirements in quests, agility courses, shortcuts or any other activities with an Agility requirement. Not all requirements can be boosted, such as Dragon Slayer II, the Ape Atoll Agility Course or Saradomin's Encampment in the God Wars Dungeon. The Preserve prayer may be used to extend the duration of the boost.
Summer pies are popular for fighting the chaos elemental or chaos fanatic as the empty pie dish prevents their special attacks from un-equipping Worn Equipment due to a full inventory.
Successfully baking a summer pie inside of the Cooks' Guild is an elite Varrock Diary task.
