A strawberry is a food that heals 1-6 Hitpoints, calculated by 1 + 6% of maximum Hitpoints. Up to 5 strawberries may be put in a fruit basket to make a basket of strawberries (totaling up to 30 Hitpoints). Strawberry baskets are also used as the payment for a farmer to watch over the dwellberry bush and orange tree in the Farming skill. Harvesting some strawberries from the Ardougne farming patch is a task for the medium Ardougne Diary.

Farming

Strawberries can be grown by players at level 31 Farming at an allotment patch, requiring 3 strawberry seeds to plant and giving 26 experience. Each berry harvested gives 29 experience. Players can plant a white lily seed to protect strawberries from disease. Strawberries can also be protected by paying a nearby farmer a basket of apples to look after them, and it takes 55 minutes for them to grow. Compost and its variants affect the production of Strawberries.

Putting strawberries in a Compost Bin will make normal compost.

Obtaining Strawberries

In addition to farming, strawberries are obtained uncommonly by stealing from Fruit stalls and in a spawn in a Shayzien tent in the Lizardman Settlement south of the east Mountain Guide. The strawberry here respawns approximately every 31 seconds.

A basket of strawberries can be obtained as a semi-rare (1/100) drop from catching gourmet implings, which can be very helpful for early game ironmen. They appear in various stores around Gielinor, listed below, though all have zero stock by default.
