Guam seeds can be planted in a herb patch with level 9 Farming in order to produce grimy guam leaves. It can be obtained from monsters or as an uncommon loot from pickpocketing Master Farmers. Five seeds are obtained as a reward for completing Garden of Tranquillity.
Note: It is not possible to pay a nearby gardener to watch over herb patches, nor will a fully-grown white lily plant protect them from disease.
One seed can be used on the skilling pet Tangleroot to change its appearance.

Average harvest yield
Guam has a minimum of 3 harvest lives, increasing by 1 for each tier of compost used (for a maximum of 6 when using ultracompost). While harvesting guam leaves, there is a chance to not consume a harvest life dependent on the player's Farming level. This chance scales from 10.2% at level 1 to 31.6% at level 99, interpolating linearly in between.
