Lesser Corruption is a spell within the Arceuus spellbook that requires level 64 Magic and the completion of A Kingdom Divided to be cast.

When cast, the player's next successful hit has a 50% chance of inflicting corruption onto the target. Once corrupted, an increasing number of Prayer points will be drained from the target every 10 ticks (6s) three times in a row. The target loses 1 Prayer point on the first activation, 2 points on the second, and 3 points on the third, for a total of 6 Prayer points over the course of 30 ticks (18s).

If the player has cast the Mark of Darkness buff before inflicting corruption on someone, they will lose Prayer points every 5 ticks instead, leading to a Prayer drain of 6 points over the span of 15 ticks (9s).

Players cannot corrupt a player that is already corrupted, although no immunity period is received after corruption wears off on a target. Likewise, corruption cannot be inflicted on targets protected by the Ward of Arceuus spell. That said, if a player with corruption spells active attacks an opposing player with Ward of Arceuus active, the attacker's corruption spells will remain active until the target's Ward expires, after which the next successful attack post-expiration will roll the chance for corruption.
