The moonlight antelope is a creature that players can capture with the Hunter skill at level 91 by using a pitfall trap. They can be found underground in the Hunter Guild, south past the moonlight moths. Unlike other creatures hunted via pitfall traps (such as horned graahks), players will always succeed in hunting moonlight antelopes.

Although moonlight antelopes have a combat level of 47, they cannot be attacked. However, they can attack players once provoked with a teasing stick or hunter's spear, dealing up to 5 melee damage.

Catching a moonlight antelope will reward the player with their antlers, which can be used to create moonlight antler bolts, which are a stronger ammunition for the hunters' sunlight crossbow.

Moonlight antelopes may be assigned as a hunters' rumours task by Huntmaster Gilman or Guild Hunter Wolf.

Hunting technique

Moonlight antelope are caught via the pitfall trapping technique. Players must bring a teasing stick, a knife and any type of logs (except for redwood logs) to the hunting spot location. By clicking on a pit, the player will create a spiked pit. After this, the player should tease one of the antelopes, lure it towards the set up trap, and jump over the trap. If successful, the creature will attempt to walk over the trap and fall into the pit. Finally, the player needs to dismantle the trap in order to get rewarded with the loot and Hunter experience.

It is not necessary to bring an axe to the hunting area, as a knife alone can be used to cut the nearby roots for logs.
