A Raw chicken is an uncooked food item dropped by chickens or roosters. They are also sold at Rufus' Meat Emporium in Canifis and Wydin's Food Store in Port Sarim.

There is also a crate in Wydin's shop in Port Sarim that provides unlimited raw chicken. A white apron is required to enter the room which contains the crate.

Raw chicken can be cooked into cooked chicken by using it on a fire, a range, or an ogre spit-roast. Doing so requires only level 1 Cooking for the fire and the range, and grants 30 experience points. The ogre spit-roast requires level 30 Cooking. At level 34 Cooking, raw chicken can no longer be accidentally burnt.

Raw chicken is used with together with a raw swordfish to make a swordchick in Creature Creation after completion of Tower of Life.
