The Hunter Guild is a members-only guild located within the north-western part of the Avium Savannah, just outside Civitas illa Fortis. To access the guild's amenities, a minimum Hunter level of 46 (not boostable) is required.
The guild, currently led by Guildmaster Apatura, has been around since ancient times, originally called Cor Venationis, or "the Heart of the Hunt". The guild hosts a variety of features related to the Hunter skill.
Getting there
The player must have travelled to Civitas illa Fortis via Regulus Cento after completion of Children of the Sun at least once before you can access Varlamore.
- The Hunter cape or Max cape teleports players to the centre of the guild. Speak to Guildmaster Apatura with either cape equipped or in your inventory and she will unlock the teleport option after a brief conversation.
- A quetzal whistle teleports players to the quetzal landing zone in front of the guild. Quetzal whistles can be unlocked after completing 10 rumours with the guild.
- The Quetzal Transport System, unlocked during Twilight's Promise, has a landing zone in front of the guild.
- The fairy ring AJP is south-east of the Hunter Guild.
- Civitas illa Fortis Teleport can be used after Twilight's Promise, and is near a quetzal landing site.
Features
Bank
The guild features a bank, notably three tiles away from a fire for Cooking.
Hunters' Rumours
Within the Burrow, the guild's pub underground, players can speak to Guild Scribe Verity to begin taking on Hunters' Rumours, an assignment system similar to Slayer tasks and farming contracts. She may also enable back to back hunter rumours. By speaking to one of the Guild Hunters in the Burrow, players are tasked to investigate a rumour involving a specific hunter creature. This is done by hunting the creature until a rare creature part is received, and then bringing it back to the Guild Hunter.
Completing Hunters' Rumours reward the player with Hunter experience and a hunter's loot sack; the quality of these depend on the tier of the rumour assigned. Hunter's loot sacks typically contain various hunter meats, furs, and blessed bone shards, and may also reward unique items like the guild hunter outfit and huntsman's kit. Players will also gain the ability to cook various hunter meats upon completing a specific amount of rumours.
The Roost
The Roost, found atop the guild, is where the guild raises Varlamore's quetzals. Though the player's personal landing site is found on the ground by the guild's entrance, players who have completed ten Hunters' Rumours can come up here and talk to Soar Leader Pitri to receive a basic quetzal whistle blueprint, which can be crafted into a basic quetzal whistle.
Quetzal whistles are used to "teleport" to the entrance of guild, allowing instant access to the Quetzal Transport System upon arrival, though players must charge it by giving Pitri certain hunter meats to feed the guild's quetzals; the higher level the meat, the more charges one receives. Blueprints for better variants, which hold more charges, can be obtained as possible loot from hunter's loot sacks.
Additionally, the whistles allow players to check their current Hunters' Rumour.
Hunter meats
Hunter meats, when eaten, will heal an initial amount before doing so again after 7 ticks (4.2 seconds), making it heal more Hitpoints overall than other foods in its level bracket. If a second meat is eaten before the effect happens, only the most recent secondary heal will occur. The secondary effect will not be cancelled when eating other foods such as cooked karambwans, however.
By default, players with the appropriate Cooking level can cook low tier hunter meat, but better quality meats require having completed a set amount of Hunters' Rumours before being able to cook them:
