A spider on stick can be made on Karamja during the Tai Bwo Wannai Cleanup minigame. Kill a jungle spider to get spider carcass, then use a machete to cut a thatching spar from the undergrowth around Tai Bwo Wannai, use the thatching spar with a machete to make skewer sticks, then use a skewer stick with the spider carcass. Alternatively, an arrow shaft can be used instead, resulting in a spider on shaft. The raw version cannot be purchased on the Grand Exchange; only the cooked one is available.

When the raw spider is on the stick, it can be cooked, requiring level 16 Cooking and granting 80 experience when successful. Players may burn the spider while cooking one, resulting in a burnt spider; the burn rate while cooking these will decrease as players reach higher Cooking levels. It will stop burning entirely at Cooking level 48 on both ranges and fires. When eaten, it heals a random amount of health between 7 and 10, and the stick is returned. Eating one gives the message You eat the spider. Mmmm, crunchy!

Hudo's shop Grand Tree Groceries sells cooked spiders on sticks for 50 coins, although they are never in stock.

Cooking a spider on a stick (or alternatively, a spider on a shaft) is a medium task for the Karamja achievement diary. It does not need to be cooked on Karamja to complete this task.
