A strange object is a quest item obtained from the council workman in the Fremennik Trials quest by giving him a beer. Upon use on a tinderbox (or vice versa), it will become a Lit strange object.

Due to its appearance and explosive properties, the strange object is presumed to be a cherry bomb. This item can take the users Hitpoints to 0, resulting in death, making it potentially useful for suiciding.
