Wealthy citizens are a wealthier class of Fortis citizens found throughout Civitas illa Fortis, Varlamore. They may be pickpocketed at 50 Thieving, yielding 96 Thieving experience and 85 coins. They sometimes drop House keys which can be used in the Stealing valuables activity.
Every 84-99 seconds, three street urchins (Leo within the Bazaar, Julia east of the Bazaar, and Aurelia south of the Bazaar) will simultaneously distract one each for approximately 20 seconds, coupled with a sound similar to those that play in some bank areas, and with the chat message You notice an urchin distract a wealthy citizen nearby. During this time, players automatically pickpocket the NPC with a 100% success rate, and automatically stop once the wealthy citizen is no longer distracted.
Occasionally, you will auto-pickpocket at a much slower rate, receiving the message Your hands are sweaty and keep dropping the items in the Citizen's pockets. This has been confirmed to wear off after participating in stealing valuables. This may be an attempt to disincentivize world hopping.

Trivia
- Occasionally, a bug may occur where two wealthy citizens appear to respond to the orphans' distractions at the same time. Only one wealthy citizen will actually stand next to the orphan, but both of them will respond with overhead dialogue and emotes, and both will have automatic pickpocketing enabled for the same duration. It is currently unknown what causes this bug to occur.
