Brutal arrows
Brutal arrows were released along with the Zogre Flesh Eaters quest. They are members' items. Instead of arrowtips, the brutal arrows use the flat sides of nails, therefore being "brutal". The brutal arrows are stronger than their regular arrow counterpart and have the bonus of being very effective versus zogres due to their bones easily crumbling beneath the crushing force, as piercing weaponry is ineffective. This ability comes at the cost of not being poisonable. Brutal arrows can also be used to kill chompy birds in the same way as with ogre arrows.
Note: Brutal arrows can only be fired from composite ogre bows, other composite bows will not work.
Brutal arrows
Brutal arrows are tradeable and therefore they can be bought by other players or at the Grand Exchange if you do not wish to make them yourself.

How to make
Partial completion of Zogre Flesh Eaters is required to make brutal arrows.
- Brutal arrows can only be made from special arrow shafts called ogre arrow shafts. These can be made by using a knife on achey logs from an achey tree. Each log gives 2-6 arrow shafts. After giving Uglug Nar a relicym's balm during Zogre Flesh Eaters, he will open his store which stocks 100 achey tree logs at a base price of 4 coins. Uglug's store is the best way to obtain Achey logs.
- Next, 4 feathers must be added to each shaft to make flighted ogre arrows (6 fletched in a set).
- Finally, nails of the players choice are added as arrow tips (6 fletched in a set) with a hammer in your inventory.
- Fletching experience is given for each step.
Brutal arrows can only be fired from composite ogre bows, which are only available to players who have gone far enough into the Zogre Flesh Eaters quest. Grish shows the player how to make a composite ogre bow from an achey log and wolf bones.
