Blood Orbs are found during the fight with Vanstrom Klause in the Sins of the Father quest. One of Vanstrom Klause's special attacks is to summon this orb, which will heal him until destroyed. It can be destroyed by stepping next to it, dealing a considerable amount of damage to the player, or luring Vanstrom to it by going behind it, which damages him instead.
