Blisterwood logs can be obtained in Darkmeyer by chopping the blisterwood tree within the Arboretum in the middle of the city. Players will need to progress at least up to the point of the Sins of the Father quest when they have delivered the slaves to the guard out front in order to gain access to the Arboretum.
Currently, the only purposes of blisterwood logs are their use in the Sins of the Father quest and the creation of the blisterwood flail, lighting an Abyssal lantern for benefits within the Guardians of the Rift minigame as well as a method of training Woodcutting/Firemaking. The tree's close proximity to a bank could make it a viable training method. Occasionally, the following dialogue message will appear in the player's chatbox: "A small spider jumps at you from the log you just cut." This interrupts the woodcutting process and causes their character to go idle.
Chopping a blisterwood tree requires a Woodcutting level of 62 and grants 76 experience. Burning blisterwood logs requires a Firemaking level of 62 and grants 96 Firemaking experience when burned with a tinderbox. Burning them at a forester's campfire gives 32.0 Firemaking experience.
