The Homunculus is a beast only encountered during Tower of Life. It was created from the essence of life in the tower. During the quest, three alchemists torture it and eventually the Homunculus gets set free. It creates monsters for the player to kill in Creature Creation.

Trivia

• Homunculus is Latin for 'little man' and references the creation of a miniature human being in alchemy. This is contrary to the Homunculus's design, with it being taller than humans.
