This article is about cosmetic Hunter outfits made with furs. For for the skilling outfit see, see
Guild hunter outfit.
Hunter gear is armour designed to be cosmetic only but requires the Hunter skill. It is all made from hides from tracking or pitfall creatures through the Custom Fur Clothing interface, at the Fancy Clothes Store in Varrock, Pellem's Fur Store in the Hunter Guild, or Prifddinas' Seamstress. It does not increase the chance of successfully catching creatures. It can provide warm clothing bonuses in Wintertodt.

Trivia
- Standing within line-of-sight of a trap was originally going to decrease the catch rate, while Hunter gear would partially counteract this effect.[2] However, this feature was not present at launch due to the fact that the negative effect from standing near the trap would still have outweighed the positive effect from wearing hunter gear. Hunter gear was still released, but only for cosmetic purposes.
- Both effects were very briefly enabled in Old School RuneScape at some point during 2013, but were reverted the same day following negative player feedback.[3]
