The input rate for runes is assuming the player is using a trident of the swamp and not a Sanguinesti staff or Tumeken's shadow.

Magic and melee are required for this boss, as the totems take double damage from magic attacks. Having Tumeken's shadow is a significant step up compared to the trident of the swamp; a shadow cast costs 856, while a trident cast costs 583. The Sanguinesti staff has an additional max hit over the trident, but a cast costs 642.

When having complete best-in-slot gear and boosts, the shadow has a max hit of 66 (132), trident 46 (92) and sanguinesti 47 (94). The sanguinesti staff also has the additional benefit of having a 1/6 chance to heal for the damage dealt.

The scythe of vitur and inquisitor's mace (with the full set) are nearly identical in kill times. However, players seeking to reduce costs are recommended to use the mace over the scythe, as it is more accurate and has no costs, whereas a scythe swing costs 600.53 coins per attack, which can add up over time and cause a loss given the boss' low value of common drops.

The chance of receiving a unique item per kill is ~1/113; The armour, mace, and staff drop table has a ~1/143 chance to roll, and the orb drop table has a 1/533 chance to roll. These are given as tertiary drops.
