The Siren's tome was a book held in the shield slot, requiring 75 Magic to wield. It was only available from the supplies table in a tournament world as a test weapon for players from 28 November to 11 December 2019. It was one of the proposed rewards for Nightmare of Ashihama.

Although the Siren's tome passed its poll, along with the host content it would be a reward from, a later decision was made to not release it into Old School RuneScape, due to continued concerns on how it would devalue the arcane spirit shield.[1]

Created by the sirens of Ashihama, the tome was once in the possession of Quin, a powerful siren who ruled the Eastern Seas, and was lost when one of her servants betrayed her. With the passage of time, the tome decayed, with the siren's charm being the only part of it that remained. Eventually, the charm found its way back to Ashihama, where it was claimed by The Nightmare before it fled west to Slepe.

"The tome faced one main source of contention - its introduction to the game would devalue the existing best-in-slot item, the Arcane spirit shield, and the challenging grind offered by the Corporeal Beast. Rumblings among some areas of the community suggested that we were trying to trivialise the magic off-hand grind for Iron accounts."
