A troll thistle is an item that is used during Eadgar's Ruse. It can be obtained by picking it in any of the grass areas in Trollheim near the cave where Eadgar lives. Note that every time the thistle is picked, it spawns in a different grass patch.

It must be used on a fire to make a dried thistle and then crushed into ground thistle using a pestle and mortar. This is added to a ranarr potion (unf) to make a Troll potion.

If it is dropped, it withers away and does not appear on the ground.
