The Mountain Guide is found with the Varrock Museum expedition on Mount Quidamortem, along with the Natural Historian, Historian Duffy, and Gnosi. He is able to take players back and forth between Mount Quidamortem, Shayziens' Wall, and south of Mount Quidamortem.

When players reach the summit, find the Mountain Guide and speak with him to unlock a travel point between the mountain, the Wall, and south of Quidamortem. This will save a considerable amount of time and avoids monsters on the way to the mountain. Once unlocked, the fastest way to reach the Mountain Guide from Shayzien is by using the Book of the dead and use the History and hearsay option, then run south-west.
