Locusts are monsters that live behind the buildings in the city of Sophanem and the swamp east of Ruins of Ullek. When killed, they drop Locust meat, which can prolong a player's stay fighting them, as it can be eaten immediately without needing to be cooked.

During Beneath Cursed Sands it is revealed that the Sect of Scabaras, under the control of Amascut, were responsible for bringing the plagues to Sophanem. The Sophanites were eventually able to clear the locusts out of the city, and after the quest they can no longer be found there.
