Unlike [[../|the standard optimal quest guide]], this optimal free-to-play Ironman quest guide focuses mostly on optimizing the progress through many different quests at once, instead of optimizing for quest experience rewards. Because many free-to-play quests can be completed more efficiently by combining their progress, most of these quests are grouped together by region. When following this guide, make sure to look at the Additional info column for not just the current quest in progress, but also at the next one or two quests, in order to more optimally prepare for the next quests.

The Additional info column will list which other quests need to be progressed during the completion of this quest, for optimal quest progress. This list does not recommend specific combat level requirements, and experienced players should be able to do all quests except for Dragon Slayer I without training skills in between doing the quests. This requires knowledge of how to safe spot Count Draynor, however, some inexperienced players may need to train combat stats before taking on this boss.

X Marks the Spot	QG	4   Prayer	1	3	On the way to Draynor Village make a quick stop at Wizards' Tower to talk to Wizard Sedridor for Rune Mysteries. Use the 300 experience reward on Prayer to shorten a long future prayer grind for Dragon Slayer I. Start Vampyre Slayer while in Draynor Village. Go upstairs in Morgan's house and take garlic from the cupboard for Vampyre Slayer. Optional: Buy a chronicle in Draynor Village for easy teleports to Varrock later on. Rune Mysteries	QG		1	6	Complete Romeo & Juliet while visiting Varrock. Start Demon Slayer while in Varrock, and finish all steps that take place within Varrock. Pickup a pie dish in the Varrock palace kitchen (north-east room on the ground floor[UK]1st floor[US]) to bake a redberry pie later. Re-fill the bucket of water used in the quest, to create soft clay later. Finish this quest later when doing Imp Catcher.	Research package
Romeo & Juliet	QG		5	11	Complete this quest while in Varrock for Rune Mysteries. Pick at least 5 (ideally 7 or more) redberries from the two redberry bushes near the South-east Varrock mine. 1 for skin paste in Prince Ali Rescue. 3 for red dye in Goblin Diplomacy, 1 (or more if pie is burnt) for redberry pie in The Knight's Sword. While in Varrock, also visit the Blue Moon Inn to progress further in Vampyre Slayer and Pirate's Treasure. Buy a pink skirt from Thessalia's Fine Clothes. Pickup a few cooked meat from the pub in Barbarian Village. One of these will be needed for Below Ice Mountain. For money, complete the Stronghold of Security for 10,000. Also, you will get fancy boots or the fighting boots. Mine 7 clay south-west of Varrock − 6 clay for Doric's Quest and to create 1 soft clay using your bucket of water from earlier. The Restless Ghost	QG	11   Prayer	1	12	Every step of this quest can be done in parallel with Prince Ali Rescue. Talk to Aggie to get the skin paste for Prince Ali Rescue. Buy one red dye and two yellow dye from Aggie. Combine a red and yellow dye to create orange dye for Goblin Diplomacy. Talk to Ned in Draynor Village to get the Wig for Prince Ali Rescue. Talk to Lady Keli in the Draynor Village jail to get the key print for Prince Ali Rescue. Talk to the restless ghost on your way to Osman to get the bronze key made. Prince Ali Rescue	QG		3	15	Follow the steps in The Restless Ghost as described above. After talking to the ghost for the first time, complete Misthalin Mystery as described below. Finish the last step for this quest after Demon Slayer.

First hand in the beads on the top floor and kill two chickens in the basement for their bones. Start Black Knights' Fortress and The Knight's Sword in the White Knights' Castle. Visit Aggie to buy some blue dye if you don't have some already.
