A tatty note is a note found by searching the skeleton in the northern part of the Meiyerditch Laboratories, where the ruins that lead to the true Blood Altar is found.

The note itself is written by Minas, a miner (presumably a slave) who was assigned to excavate the caves in the laboratories, and was eventually killed by his fellow miner, Jovan, in a fit of madness after he came into contact with a blood talisman in the ruins leading to the Blood Altar.

Jovan's skeleton, which can be found inside the Blood Altar, can be examined, which states A message carved into the ground next to it reads: 'Minas, I'm sorry.', suggesting he regained his senses before dying inside the altar.
