Advanced data
Typeagility course

The Wilderness Agility Course is a training area located deep in the Wilderness, requiring level 52 Agility(boostable) to enter, and 49 Agility(boostable) to complete the first obstacle inside. The entire course is dangerous, taking place in a singles-plus combat area that allows player killers to attack at any time, even if you are already in combat with a monster.

The course can be completed either risk-free, or with paid access to the agility dispenser, rewarding the player with valuable loot after each lap. This feature costs 150,000 coins, which is lost every time a player dies or leaves the course, but is not removed if they log out and remain within the course. This money must be deposited from a player's inventory, unlike other Wilderness fees which can be withdrawn from a bank. Even though the coins are not lost when logging out inside the course, doing so will remove 10 laps from the reward lap counter.

Additionally, the agility dispenser restores run energy whenever it's tagged, regardless of whether or not players have completed a lap or paid the fee. As such, players who intend to pay the opt-in fee should bring combat equipment to protect from the skeletons and potential player-killers, rather than energy-restoring items or weight-reducing clothing.

Getting there

There are several different methods for traveling to the Wilderness Agility Course. The best options, in order of fastest to slowest, are:

Option Requirements Directions after teleporting
Ice Plateau Teleport spell or tablet[a 1] Quest points Lunar Diplomacy, 89 Magic Run east.
Ghorrock Teleport spell or tablet[a 2] Quest points Desert Treasure I, 96 Magic Run north-west, go through the gates, and then run east.
Wilderness obelisk teleport to 44 Wilderness None Run north-west, go through the gates, and then run east.
Lava Maze teleport on a burning amulet None Run north-west, go through the gates, and then run east.
Edgeville teleport lever to the Deserted Keep None Run north and cut the web, then run west. Requires a knife or any slash weapon.
  1. ^ The tablet has no requirements to use.
  2. ^ The tablet does not have a Magic requirement to use, but does require the quest.

Note that the level 52 Agility requirement is only needed to enter the gates; the level requirement of the obstacles is level 49. Therefore it is possible to use a temporary skill boost to access the course starting at level 47, giving far superior rates to other courses available to the same level.

Mechanics

If all obstacles are passed, in the correct order, a substantial chunk of "bonus" experience is rewarded at the end of the lap. Players who skip obstacles or do not successfully complete obstacles they fail will not receive any bonus experience, dramatically reducing experience rates. Failing will result in damage, detailed below. Players with higher Agility have a higher success rate at passing the obstacles; however, even at level 99, it is still possible to fail an obstacle.

In addition to the risk of player-killers, there are multiple level 18 and 25 skeletons roaming the course and underground respectively that will attack any player near them. For this reason, a source of cheap food (such as wines) can be useful to help restore lost health.

Dispenser rewards

Players who pay the 150,000 coin fee will gain access to the dispenser, which will reward them with items. After each lap, the dispenser provides both noted alchables and noted blighted items, in addition to one unnoted blighted item if players have empty inventory slots. Additionally, there is a 1 in 40 chance per lap to receive a medium clue scroll; the ring of wealth (i) will increase this to 1 in 20. If the player's inventory is full, the clue scroll will be dropped to the ground.

The values in this table assume all items are sold on the Grand Exchange. For the most precise values see the calculator.

Experience rates

The course rewards 571.4 Agility experience per completed lap, with five obstacles needing to be passed for completion. Assuming an average of 45 seconds per lap, players can expect a base experience of 40,000-45,000 experience per hour depending on concentration and Agility level, and up to 18,400 bonus experience assuming players play for at least 2 hours and turn in all their Agility tickets at once. This requires players to complete all obstacles, as skipping an obstacle will not award the lap bonus at the end, which makes up the bulk of the experience per lap. Due to the success rate of the obstacles, the experience rates scale with the player's Agility level. Theoretically, a maximum of 89 laps could be completed per hour (67 ticks per lap), resulting in 50,800 Agility experience per hour. However, due to obstacles being failable even at level 99 Agility, expect to achieve a maximum of around 47,500 Agility experience per hour at higher Agility levels.

Players can generally assume a lap time of 45 seconds. Bank time is assumed to be 2 minutes, 10 seconds, and done by leaving the course, running through the gate to the Wilderness obelisk, traveling to the 13-Wilderness option (Ferox Enclave), using the bank, and then returning with an Ice Plateau tablet.

Ticket bonuses

Players can redeem Wilderness agility tickets for experience, which are earned after each lap. The more tickets turned in at once, the greater the bonus per ticket. Players can exit the wilderness agility course with their tickets and store them in the bank.

Tickets redeemed at once XP per ticket Bonus experience Approx. time to gather minimum amount Max. hourly XP from tickets
1-10 200 0% 1 minute 16,000
11-50 210 5% 9 minutes 16,800
51-100 220 10% 39 minutes 17,600
