Auto Retaliate is a Combat that allows the player to choose whether their character fights back when attacked. Players can turn it on or off by going to the Combat Options tab and clicking the icon that says "Auto Retaliate (On)/(Off)".

The player will attempt to automatically retaliate to the attacker 1 tick after they are attacked. When a player is attacked, their attack delay is set to their current weapons attack speed divided by two, rounded up, regardless of what it was prior.

This option is helpful if the player wants to run through an area with lots of monsters that have aggressiveness, run away from attacking players, or just not fight back when attacked.

It is recommended to turn Auto Retaliate OFF when players are in an area with traps.

Turning Auto Retaliate off is essential for the prevention of accumulation of combat experience on a Skill pure build account.

When Auto Retaliate is ON, the player's character walks/runs towards the monster (or player) attacking and fights back.
When Auto Retaliate is OFF, the player's character just stands where they are and takes the hits from the monster, or another player.
