A drift net is an item used to catch fish shoals in the Drift net fishing activity located underwater of Fossil Island. They can be created by using two Jute fibre on a loom.

Drift nets can be strung up on the drift net anchors underwater to catch fish shoals over time. Players can then chase fish shoals into the drift nets. Each fish shoal fills the net up by 10% and gives Hunter and Fishing experience based on a player's current levels. Upon harvesting a drift net, the drift net will be destroyed and the player will be given the option to discard, bank, or take all rewards. Players will use between 80-110 drift nets an hour while drift net fishing.
